Responsible Business

With the purpose of pursuing its contribution to sustainable development, CEGESTI promotes the project “Strengthening Human Rights and Decent Work in Central America”, with the financial support of the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The project is being developed in four components with specific objectives:

Responsible Business Practices: This component strives to strengthen the productive organizations’ technical and managerial competencies, enabling the implementation of business practices that respect the environment and human rights.

Sustainable Public Procurement: This component supports the development of policies for socially responsible acquisition of goods and services in government institutions.

Dialogue Generation and Public policy: This component seeks to facilitate spaces of dialogue with the participation of main actors of the region’s public and private sectors, as well as the civil society, to encourage the generation of policy proposals and actions aimed at promoting social responsibility, and particularly, respect for human rights.
